Miss Emma’s News

Welcome back everyone and to the new school year.

Our current terms focus for our students is to develop strength, flexibility (especially if you have made full use of the 6 weeks holidays!) and endurance, we are also beginning our choreography preparations for our Show in June 2020.

On Saturday 14th September we will holding our parents coffee and cake session from 4pm – 5pm, this is a chance for you to meet your child’s teacher, meet other family members and to find out what our new year focuses are.

Next week we are offering FREE taster classes in our newest styles of dance in Tap and Modern Jazz. Ask your teacher for a FREE class pass for Next Week Only wc 16th September to register your place in one of the classes.

We are very proud to congratulate our Acrobatic Arts students who achieved “Outstanding’ results with many achieving the very hard to obtain grade of ‘Distinction’. Acrobatic arts students will be presented on Saturday 14th September with their full exam reports and certificates. Congratulations to All!

Highlights from our previous term have been many but to draw up on just a couple:

1. Launch of Young Talent Theatre Agency and Training Programme ‘Showcase Elite Management Agency’ with students from Showcase Dance & Stage now being industry represented by our very own agency.

2. Summer Workshop and Intensive Dancers Camps were a wonderful success with students performing in 4 wonderful shows – as well as taking part in a very exciting Aerial Hoop workshop.

I hope you enjoy reading about our news and up and coming opportunities and I look forward to seeing you in the studios or in class very soon, our current term is on until Saturday 19th October, classes will be closed over the October Half Term holidays (however we will be running our normal holiday workshops and camp) with the new term starting on Monday 28th October.

Gold Box Winner – Announced

Thank you to everyone for posting their Gold last term we hope you have all enjoyed collecting your gold.  Congratulations to Prep Student – Leo Uthank and Lily Rae , Junior – Elizabeth Robinson, Senior – Talia Goul – You were last terms Gold Box Winners – We hope you liked your prizes

Why Do We Do Gold?

You may wonder what are these pieces of paper that come out of class? The Gold box is our constant recognition and praise reinforcement system, the idea is the more piece of ‘Gold’ (paper slips) that are received and posted into the gold post boxes the bigger chance of winning the prizes at the end of the term when 1 lucky winner is drawn from each age group. We often set targets in class of how many golds we can ‘Go For” and reward on individual and group work.
