Welcome to our new spring term newsletter with lots of information on up and coming events, opportunities and Showcase Family news
Miss Emma’s News
Welcome to this terms newsletter, we have had the most amazing term this February – April with lots of exciting things happening in the studios and for our family.
Our new terms focus for April – May is to prepare all of our students for their internal ShowcaseDS class medal tests, reports and certificate presentations which will be taking place wc 29th April. These annual medal tests are a celebration of where all individual students are up to on their ShowcaseDS pathway and a great opportunity for students and parents alike to read your student reports to see the development. The internal medal tests are also our standardisation tool to offer students with the opportunity of taking part in external governing body exams.
We already have dates booked for:
Acrobatic Arts exams 13th and 14th July,
IDTA (Street / Musical Theatre / Freestyle) are likely to be Sun 22nd and Sun 29th Sept,
ISTD (Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary) likely to be in Nov / Dec,
and ICMA (Singing, Speech and Drama) will take place on Sunday 19th May – Good luck to all students taking part in these exams remember ‘Cheeks and Teeth’.
These external class exams are not mandatory but we do encourage students to take part if they wish to develop their style and performing arts pathway further – these exams also support further education gaining UCAS points and are all OFQUAL registered.
