Class Structure

Stage 1 – Baby Classes

Specifically designed classes to introduce dance, music and movement to toddlers. The baby classes are available in Baby Gym, Baby Ballet and Mini Movers. We focus on developing co-ordination, control and rhythm by learning through play in an encouraging environment.

Stage 2 – Rosette Classes  3 – 6 years

Rosette classes are available in all dance styles and are a great way to introduce children into dance. Rosette awards are a series of simple, fun, set routines designed from age 3 years. The syllabus we follow is designed by the IDTA and ISTD and provides the foundation for other awards. Awards available is all classes.

Stage 3 – Prep / Star dance Classes 6 – 8 years

The IDTA preparatory examination + star dance awards are taught at Stage 3. Its nationally acclaimed syllabus is proven to produce great results in developing the basic foundation for dance. Class structure available in all genres.  

Stage 4 – Introductory Classes Age 9+ years

Introductory classes are ideal for children who are aged 9 years plus who wish to start dancing, these classes are designed for beginners with a more challenging syllabus than stages 1 – 3.

Stage 5 – Academy Classes

Academy classes are for pupils who are training for Grade 1 or Bronze Award. To join the academy classes pupils have to progress from Stage 3 or 4. Academy stage is really the next step up in a young dancers career as they progress technically and physically. Dancers should expect to increase their active participation in classes at this stage.

Stage 6 – Academy Classes Grade 1- 3

Academy Grade 1 – 3  classes are for pupils who are training for Grade 1 + / Silver Award. To join the academy classes pupils have to progress from Stage 5. Dancers should expect to increase their active participation in classes at this stage and practice away from class.

Stage 7 – Academy Classes Grade 4 – 8

Academy Grade 4 -5 classes are for pupils who are training for Grade 4 + / Gold Award. To join the academy classes pupil’s have to progress from Stage 6. Dancers should expect to increase their active participation in classes at this stage and practice away from class.

Stage 8 – Academy Classes Levels 1 – 4

Academy Level 1 – 4 classes are for pupils who are training for Level 1 – 4. To join the academy classes pupil’s have to progress from Stage 7. Dancers should expect to increase their active participation in classes at this stage and practice away from class.

Stage 9 – Teacher Training Programme

For all pupils who wish to pursue a career in performing arts teaching, associate programs available through the IDTA endorsed by OfQual.
